Dr Eyob Ghebre-leul, (Geologist)

ህ ግንባርን ጀብሃን፣ ብዘይካ ናይ ስልጣን ቁርቊስ ናይ ስነ ሓሳብ ፍልልይ ኣይነበረንን። ብሰንኪ ዘይሓላፍነታውያን ከዳዓት መሪሕነት ናይ ክልቲኡ ውድባት ክንደይ ንጹሕ ተጋደላይ ጸኒቱ።

Dr Eyob Ghebre-leul was educated in the USSR. Between 1975 and 1978 he was working in various departments. In mid 1978 he was accused of regionalism as cover up and sent to Halaw Sewra,and executed in 1980 at Arag .

ብሂወቱ (ኮምሽነር ናይ ቦጦሎኒ 5 ናይ ኢንታሂም ዓፋ) እንከሎ ኽሪኦ ዕደል ረኺበ ነይረ። ኣብቲ እዋን ጀምሚሮም ህግ "ደቡብ" ኣብ ዝሎዎ፣ ካብ ዝነበሩ እቶም charismatic (ሰብ ግርማ) መራሕቲ ንዶክተር ኢዮብን፣ ንወልደኪኤል ሃይልን ካብ 44 መዓት ክሳብ ሕጂ ኩሉ ሻዕ ካብ ዝኽረይ ኣይጠፉን ኢዮም ። ኣብቲ ሰዓት ነዞም ሰባት እዚኣቶም ንኽትሪኦም ዕድላ ምርካብ ማለት፣ ምዚ ናይዞ ደቅና celebrities ምስ ረኣዩ ዝረኽቡዎ ዕግባት የመሳስሎ ኣነ።

I know Dr Eyob very well. We were working to the same ministry in Addis. Though, I was active in the Eritrean student movement, he is the one who recruited me in 1972 to Hizbawi Hailetat. He escaped and joined the front in Sept 1972 after he heard that his office was tagged “tashigowal” for security purpose. It was a sad day for me for a colleague who contributed a lot in the struggle of urban cities. He was the editor of “tihisha” with Temesgen Haile who gave the ultimate sacrifice in Addis on the same year. When I heard the killing of Dr Eyob by the cruel organization, this what I said: An organization that kills its educated class in its rank and files, will never be for the Eritrean people. Actually, I vindicated when I witness the Iron grip of the organization over the entire population. Rip my dear colleague.

Eyob Gebrelul was my classmate at Point four high school of Asmara Eritrea, in the early 1960s.He was a true nationalist and highly trustworthy. When the Unsuspecting Eritrean people were focusing on wholeheartedly fighting the Ethiopian army of occupation, Isayas Afeworki has been secretly liquidating the cream of the crop of the Eritrean cadres, and yet, he was able to blackmail, and accuse them as enemies of Eritrean, when indeed, he, himself, was the master spy of Ethiopia and America. The number of Eritreans whom he suspected will stay in his way from becoming the supreme leader of Eritrea, have been secretly perishing in his hands. To cover all Isayas’s mass murders and other misdeeds of extreme cruelty in Eritrea can take volumes of books to publish, but, will one day happen. It is only a matter of time
